“TIGERTAILZ (featuring Pepsi Tate, Jay Pepper, Kim Hooker and Matt Blakout) have today (22/06/06) received the UK Patent Office ruling on their opposition to the registration of the TIGERTAILZ name as a Trade mark made by Steevi Jaimz. Jaimz, a former vocalist with TIGERTAILZ, was replaced by Kim Hooker back in 1988.
The background to this case is that Steevi Jaimz (and an associate) registered the TIGERTAILZ name as a Trade Mark with the UK Patent Office in June 2004. On hearing of this registration the original TIGERTAILZ band members Pepsi Tate and Jay Pepper (along with later member Kim Hooker) launched a formal opposition to this registration with the Patent Office in October 2004. Their opposition was based on the following Trade Mark Law sections:
Section 3(6) - the registration made by Steevi Jaimz was made in bad faith
Section 5(4) - the law of passing off
After 2 years of formal proceedings and evidence submission the final Patent Office hearing was held on Tuesday 30th May 2006 with the formal decision being delivered in writing on Tuesday 20th June 2006.
On the 2 main counts of opposition brought against Steevi Jaimz registration the hearing officer up-held Pepsi Tate, Jay Pepper and Kim Hooker’s claims as follows:
1. He ruled that in all circumstances the opposition succeeds in Section 5(4)a - Steevi Jaimz is indeed ‘passing off’ as TIGERTAILZ
2. He also ruled that opposition succeeds in Section 3(6) - Steevi Jaimz registered the TIGERTAILZ name as a Trade Mark in bad faith.
In summary, after 2 years of legal wrangle we are pleased to announce that we have won our case with regard to our right to the TIGERTAILZ name.
Many thanks for your support through this difficult time.
Best Regards
Pepsi Tate, Jay Pepper, Kim Hooker, Matt Blakout”

I’ve just been told that Europe is working on some new tracks for their new album. They did “Start from the Dark” in 2004 and will now release a new album perhaps the end of this year or beginning of the next year (releases are tricky, almost everytime)

Notorious drummer from Mötley Crüe, Tommy Lee, have released his own fashion line. PL for TL (People’s Liberation for Tommy Lee) is the name and the big deal with these new cloths is that they are inspired by Tommy’s own tattoes. The set of cloths are hats, jeans and t-shirts and everything is LIMITED so if you want to wear those cloths, hurry up?
The fish on the ass area on these jeans are from Tommy’s arm where he actually have an exact tattoe of the fish.

Well the Sweden Rock Festival was a blast, I met the singer of SisterSin, the dudes in Pinklips and the rock weather dude on TV4 here in sweden. He had his day of so he couldnt deliever any weather report to me.. hehe. I also was drunk all the time, so the last days I’ve been sick laying in bed. And as a band aid on the broken arm, I will give a video with Guns n’ Roses and Sebastian Bach playing My Michelle at the Download festival. How good can it get?
As you’ve seen this site isnt down yet. I dont know if my host has given me time to pay the fee but as it seems, they really have. So I’ll be updating with this news that I will be going to Sweden Rock Festival tomorrow (7th June) and I will be doing some small “diary” recording on my mobile phone to, in afterhand, let you know how I felt and did under the festival time.
I also want to announce a new part to the gallery, the part will be called Sweden Rock Pictures, where you should be able to upload your own photos from the festival. As I’ve figured, you won’t be able to upload ‘em under the festival, but I’ll open it anyways.
