News from CRASHDIET camp!

Posted in CRASHDÏET on September 21st, 2006 by Dr. Rock

I was my way into the crashdiet messageboard, but instead of going there I saw a new update. A new updated design, a small update and ofcourse a message from the band saying:

First of all we want to apologize for our lack of reporting what’s happening
in the band. I’m afraid we have given the impression that there’s nothing goin’
on at all but that’s truly not the case here and it’s only a matter of time
before we can completely prove this to you.

We have been working daily to get our shit bakk on trakk again, with no results
at all you might think as we still haven’t even found the right guy to front us
but the truth is that we all feel very strong now, the chemistry between us in
the band is better than ever and with the new demo songs coming out from
mr. sweet and even mr. youngs ass we’re sure we can please everyone of you
sleazy dirtbags out there. We have about 30 new tunes worth of material for a
new album hopefully to come out before next summer. At least we´re aiming for it!

We´re actually pretty much convinced that we should keep the name after numerous
sleepless nights and after approval from the Lepard family. We feel that we want
to carry on the CRASHDÏET legacy, which will keep Daves spirit alive for a long
long time.. It would be a shame NOT to spread the message across the whole world
and let them know what real music should sound like!

More testing remains with the current singers we are working with until we can
make any decision, and we still want to try out more singers so if you think
you’re the one, drop us an e-mail to: singer@crashdiet.org.

And regarding the DVD, video samples will be uploaded to this forum soon,
together with further details.

We promise you won’t have to wait this long until you hear from us again.

Yours sincerely,
Peter London, Martin Sweet, Eric Young – CRASHDÏET

New movie by Larry Charles: The Dirt

Posted in Gossip on September 15th, 2006 by Dr. Rock

According to Production Weekly, Larry Charles (producer) is in pre-production on his upcoming film, The Dirt. A movie biography with the world most notorious band, Mötley Crüe.

The movie will be based on their book “The Dirt: Confessions of hte World’s most Notorious Band”.

The book tells the story of the bands rise, complete with all the ups and downs, friendship problems, on tour and in the studio.

“Whiskey and porn stars, hot rods and car crashes, black leather and high heels, overdoses and death. This is the life of Mötley Crüe, the heaviest drinking, hardest fighting, most oversexed and arrogant band in the world. Their unbelievable exploits are the stuff of rock ‘n’ roll legend. They nailed the hottest chicks, started the bloodiest fights, partied with the biggest drug dealers, and got to know the inside of every jail cell from California to Japan.

They have dedicated an entire career to living life to its extreme, from the greatest fantasies to the darkest tragedies. Tommy married two international sex symbols; Vince killed a man and lost a daughter to cancer; Nikki overdosed, rose from the dead, and then OD’d again the next day; and Mick shot a woman and tried to hang his own brother. But that’s just the beginning. Fueled by every drug they could get their hands on and obscene amounts of alcohol, driven by fury and headed straight for hell, Mötley Crüe raged through two decades, leaving behind a trail of debauched women, trashed hotel rooms, crashed cars, psychotic managers, and broken bones that has left the music industry cringing to this day.

The film will shoot on location in Los Angeles.” – MovieWeb.com

Well, we are doing these gigs as a showcase for german management label. W.A.S.P works through that label aswell so they set us up for support for three dates. We feel truly honoured and proud to share stage with mean man Blackie Lawless.

New video from Vains of Jenna

Posted in VOJ on September 6th, 2006 by Dr. Rock

Just got a hold of Vains of Jennas new video, a.k.a first one. It’s for their single “Noone’s gonna do it for you” from their debut album which will be released 24th October.
Note from FilthyNote.com’s Bam Margera:

“So here’s the dirt on Vains of Jenna. I was in LA finishing Jackass 2 and my buddy Mark Weiss (legendary rock photographer) saw the Vains walking on Sunset while having lunch at the Rainbow. Mark liked their look and said he wanted to shoot them. Mark drug me to their show that night and they blew me away! I instantly knew I had to start a label!

They are from a tiny sh#tbag town in Sweden called Falkenberg where nothing cool happens. They recorded a record in a cabin in the fucking mountains on a computer that Lizzy Devine bought with a loan!!! He was working at McD’s and then as a driving instructor to pay it off! Once they got a mix on Myspace the organizers of Cruefest at the Roxy in LA asked them to play. Then they borrowed money from their parents to fly to LA where they landed late, took a cab to the show (with no gear because customs wouldn’t let them take ‘em!) and they played the show. Stevie Rachelle (sings for Tuff, an 80′s metal band that killed it) saw them and started booking them more shows. He got Gilbey Clarke (GnR guitarist) to record 2 songs and they played an east coast tour this summer.”
