I was checking out CRASHDÃET’s message board and found that there is a memorial site for Dave Lepard. It’s a really nice site with loads of pictures with Dave and friends, maybe there is some pictures you haven’t seen at all. Don’t forget to check out the message board on the site, where you can share your feelings, memories or if you just want to speak your mind.
The site also contains information of the memorial fund that gives away a maximum of 5000 SEK to up-coming bands for recordings, rehearsal studio or for new equipment. Visit the site for more information.
The new singer for the Swedish glam metal band, CRASHDÃET, have been looking for a new singer for a long time since the tradgic death of Dave Lepard. The search has been over for a couple of weeks (I guess) and the singer is here.
Oliwer Twisted is his name and have screaming in the band Reckless Love from Finland.
From his biography:
“I have always been an Eighties fanatic but when I realized why, I just began to blossom. It all goes back to my rosy childhood. As a kid, I was kinda quiet and pretty much allowed to be in my own world but when I became a superstar in my own dream reality, I began to speak and I haven’t stopped ever since, unless I sing.
So I wasn’t even a youngster in my heart anymore when I discovered that singing and performing is my calling. I jumped onstage and like a squirrel pumped with a litre of speed I began to take over the real world. Since then I’ve been destined to become the ultimate rock frontman of the future who will make your chin drop through the floor with an explosively energetic stage persona and a voice reaching from low tones to high screams.”

To Be Continued
Playing music is a passion for some of us on this planet, and to tell Steevi Jaimz to put it on the rack is just not enough to stop him. After loosing the battle with the other Tigertailz for the legall rights of the name, Tigertailz, he’s now back with new creative ideas. Together with Ace Finchum (ex-TIGERTAILZ), Vic Cino (Crazy Lixx) on guitar, Joacim Sandin (BAI BANG) on bass and Trashi Benzi (DEAD FAMOUS) on the second guitar, he will be trying to conquer the world once more.
This time he’s also working with a personal favourite of mine, Chris Laney (Zan Clan) and Anders Ringman from Platform Studio who also helped mixing the ‘Rest in Sleaze’ album with CRASHDÃET. The result of the new songs is “a collection of songs that captures both the attitude of the best parts of the glam metal scene backed up with the lasting quality of strong memorable tunes” according to a press release.
The album will hopefully be released later this year, but for those who can’t wait, visit their MySpace.

He was born in Dallas, Texas as Marvin Lee Aday and in 1967 he fronted the band Popcorn Blizzard. After various gigs with musicals such as “Hair”, “Rainbow”, “Hamlet” and Jim Steinman’s “More Than You Deserve”, his musical carrere started to take shape. It was together with Jim Steinman he created rock history with the grand rock album “Bat Out Of Hell”, an album that to date has sold an amazing 37 million copies.
His next grand slam would be the hit single “Deadringer For Love”, the energetic rock duet with Cher. After this there followed hits like “I’ll Do Anything For You (But I Won’t Do That) from the extremely successful comeback album “Bat Out Of Hell II - Back Into Hell” and “I’d Lie For You (And That’s The Truth)”.from the 1996 album “Welcome To The Neighborhood”. In November 2006 Meat Loaf’s new grand epos, “Bat Out Of Hell III - The Monster Is Loose” was released, shooting away an impressing 80 000 copies in the US the first week after its release.

Review:
Their new demo is out, and in my point of view much better than the old demo “Shock rock Party pop” which they released before the summer of 2006. Let’s start of with “Ain’t going home”: The first song on this 2 tracked demo and it’s way more heavier than their first “debute” song “Down on your Knees”. The one thing I felt when I heard this song was “Man I’m happy, why?!”.
Well it’s obvious, Sister is a happy band. The catchy lyrics, guitar riffs and drum beats is still there and it’s something most of the bands these days doesn’t have. The chorus is as strong, if not stronger, than their previous demo and also the voice of Jamie had more cock innit in this song.
And the second song “Faster”: This song is the one that stands out more than any other songs from this band. I’m glad that these guys had a better production this time. It feels like it’s not the old Sister anymore, it’s something new!
It’s more hardrock this time and nothing is left out. The solo is OK and you can hear that Dani had his fingers working harder than ever this time. I would also like to give a plus for the slow part of the song, before Jamie screams out “faster than the speed of the light”, really gives you the adrenaline kick that I think they want you to have.
As I’ve said to myself, Sister conquered the looks in the beginning, but now they’ve also conquered the music!

I give ‘em 4.5 / 5 crosses this time, cuz I know that they can do better!
You can download the demo on Sisteronline.net or go to myspace.com/sisteronline
