Olympical in a metalized way

Posted in The Poodles on July 31st, 2008 by Dr. Rock

Maybe this isn’t that metal that you think of when you think of the word Metal. But as I’ve read about a small sneak peak of this song, I told you that the Poodles wrote/made the song for the Swedish Olympical team. Well go HERE to see the video for it.
I think the song is soothing and quite bombastic, I think you’ll like it.

The all star swedish tribute to Kiss Crazy Nights which has been in works for a few months is now online.

May i add someone added in a HUH to the song which was both amazing and hilarious, because it is the legendary HUH. Personally i think it needed a touch of cowbell to go. But thats my opinion ;) . Go check it out to see what you think of this.

I might be adding more cool band spottings later on…

Olli and CRASHDÏET goes separate ways

Posted in CRASHDÏET on July 13th, 2008 by Dr. Rock

Dear fans…

We have decided, in a mutual decision to go separate ways with Olli.
We need a singer who can commit 100%, which unfortunately Olli couldn´t live up to. He as many knows about, has another band in finland and we couldn’t settle for sharing our time. We want to go further than any band has done before and we cant afford to spend time just waiting. We need to function as a full unit, all the time!

It was, as mentioned above, a mutual decision and this aint the result of any kind of argument. We definately will go on as friends, and we wish Olli all the best!

Just to make things clear. CRASHDÏET has no intention of giving up. The three of us are more hungry than ever and you ain´t seen the end of CRASHDÏET yet!

//Eric, Martin and Peter

That message can be read on the official CRASHDÏET site so it is not fake if you might think so. They aren’t angry at each other or anything, it is mutual as you can read so they are now looking for a new singer, I guess. Or they might even have one already, a wildcard-ish person.
We will find out soon, and I will come back to this topic ASAP

Posted in Videos on July 10th, 2008 by Dr. Lee

Too counter with the leak of their new single Buckcherry have quickly produced a new music video for the new song “Too Drunk To Fuck” off their currently unreleased 4th new album “Black Butterfly”.
You can tell the video isnt a massive budget one but it goes well the song which is the most important thing. The song is great.

New Buckcherry song leaks “Too Drunk To Fuck”

Posted in Newz on July 4th, 2008 by Dr. Lee

A new Buckcherry song off their forthcoming album “Black Butterfly” has leaked out onto the internet. The band rather than combating it linked people to a torrent site, in which i assume they have a tracker set up so they can see how successful the song is on the illegal download chart. I think its a very cool way to tackle the issue, embrace it rather than go against it.

The song itself i personally think rocks. Its very groovy, a bit like their huge single “Crazy Bitch”, the lyrics are also very funny at times. Great song, i hope the new album is as cool as this new song.

Mötley Crüe and their “supporting” fans on the net…

Posted in CRASHDÏET, Crazy Lixx, Mötley Crüe, Other on July 2nd, 2008 by Dr. Rock

I just visited Blabbermouth and watch’d a post about Mötley Crüe and their setlist:

01. Kickstart My Heart
02. Wild Side
03. Shout at the Devil
04. Saints of Los Angeles *
05. Live Wire
06. Mutherfucker of the Year
07. Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)
08. Same Ol’ Situation
09. Primal Scream
10. Looks that Kill
11. Girls Girls Girls
12. Dr. Feelgood
—————
13. Home Sweet Home (Tommy Lee on piano at front of stage)

Sure this looks good and all, but to few new songs here for me. I love their old stuff, but isn’t this 2008?
Well back to my main point: The “fans” or the people who is commenting this post on Blabbermouth is throwing dirt at the band.
They all hate the other bands, well Buckcherry gets some good head ups but the other bands just simple sucks. I mean, sure they might be good at what they do but do they fit the style of Mötley Crüe?

Quote from “jimmy two times”:

I really wanted to go to this when I first heard the mention of a cruefest. I thought it would be Motley and other bands like them that were younger….like Ozzfest is/was. i thought maybe Crashdiet, Vains Of Jenna, Crazy Lixx and bands like that. When I saw the lineup, I thought ok, Buck Cherry is cool. Papa Roach sucks, so does Trapt. Sixx AM? Eh. So, so. Now that I see the set list I’m glad i didn’t waste my money on this shit tour. I wanted a reason to go. I like the new album a lot. I didn’t think they had anything left good in them. I’m guessing Mick can only stand for so long…Not kidding. he’s really old and has a bad back and even worse knees. Vince Neil has always sang every other/third word. Watch a live youtube clip from any era and it’s the same shit. Every song on this lame ass set list was a single/video with the exception of “motherfucker of the year”. Carnival Of Sins was Much better. Maybe this is their farewell. yeah right. As long as there’s money to be made, they can show up once a year, or every other year, get 4 marginally shitty but for some reason popular bands to open up for you. Play for an hour and await payment. This seems familiar……Oh yeah Sharonfest!!

That is what I thought to. Why not bring in some new bands from Sweden, that really can rock and would blend into the style of Mötley Crüe. But instead they bring in some Nü-metal dudes and some new rock bands that is hated by the whole internet, well almost. Popular metal, pop-metal is what I call it, but I am not hear to bash anyone, I am just forwarding what other people think.

Well I can’t wait until Mötley Crüe is coming to Sweden again, skip the other bands and let Crazy Lixx OR CRASHDÏET open the show. I can only beg on my knees……..

New swedish blog for the Poodles

Posted in The Poodles on July 1st, 2008 by Dr. Rock

After the awesome show at the awesome festival, Sweden Rock Festival this year, The Poodles wanted to express their feelings. They started a co-operation with the Finest.se (fashion and music). Their blog can be found at finest.se/thepoodles.
As I told you, it’s in Swedish so you foreign fans can’t understand a shit over there, but still very nice blog. A tour blog they call it.

They will also perform at “Allsång på Skansen”, a Swedish television tradition where they invite other bands to perform and also to sing/play a traditional ‘allsång’ song. They will attend the show 15th of July, the show starts at 20.00 (swe time). I’ll probably air it on the site for you all if I can find it on the net.
