I love it when the news comes to me, and not the other way around. This time the band Hansel from Australia emailed me and asked me if I would like to write a little something about them.
So yeah, why not?
First off I had to look at the youtube/video link they gave me, for their song “Murder 101″. Watch it in HD quality HERE.
My honest opinion: There is a lot of jumping and David Lee Roth kicks in the video, along with other classical 80s moves. But the one thing that I want to point out is that they actually do this kind of good. It is not rubbish, but not 100% perfect. And what do I mean by that, you might ask. Well in some way I can’t really take them seriously, but maybe its the point, just an act of awesomeness and 80s-ness . They remind me in some way of Metal Skool/Steel Panther.

Well I really like “Murder 101″ cuz it sounds so fucking brilliant. Not only glam metal/heavy rock, but a small touch of those adrenaline songs you can hear in movies like “No retreat, no surrender” and “Karate Kid” among others, which is a blend of power-pop and rock, not that I can give you an example, but you might know what I am talking about.

So I can actually say that this band is something to check out, take them serious or not, it is up to you, but “Murder 101″ is a good song.
