Sweden Rock Festival 2010 is only a year away
Hey man, I just figured, Sweden Rock Festival 2010 is only a year away. They will start the festival 12th of June and end it on 15th of June, which is kinda awesome. It will start on a Saturday and end on a Tuesday, which means that I get Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to rest my body after 72 beers before I get to work on Monday. So isn’t that just a massive plus on their side.
Hopefully the festival will be as great as it was this year, or even better. But what can really beat dancing and cheering to Flogging Molly, with a small sun-stream and thousands of people dancing and cheering with you.
I mean seriously, we danced all the time and my smile was bigger than ever. I must say that it was well needed in the cold weather we had, I heard that we even had ICE on our tents one morning.
And experiencing rain and cold under a festival isn’t something funny, trust me, but it was totally worth it. I had my best friends, my best beer and the best music, so it was great fun.
I can’t really tell how much I appreciate this festival in words. The whole vibe and feeling you get from it is just amazing, we have:
1. great music
2. great people
3. 99% peace (we saw a fight in the camp next to us)
4. beautiful women
5. awesome staff/helpers/salesmen
6. beer (!!!!!!!)
And what more can you ask from a festival? Nothing else right? It’s just to good to be true, and the best part of it all is that you can disconnect everything back home and just have fun, relax and enjoy the visit.
Hopefully the weather will be a tad nicer to us next year, I personally beg to the weather God for this to happen: I WANT MORE SUN!
More sun means more happiness which leads to a much better festival, I can only give the festival in a scale of 1 to 10 a 6½, but not because of the festival itself, but for the stupid, evil and ice cold weather.
I was so looking forward to see Dream Theater, their whole show, but I physically couldn’t cuz of the cold winds that was digging into my body and soul.
So for you all who haven’t joined us rocking people down at the festival, I can seriously recommend it for you, go for fuck sake, you will not regret a thing.
And as mentioned Flogging Molly was splendid, fun and a joy for your smile. They were the only one, for me, who stood out from the other bands, they just gave a little more to the people through their music.
Also Volbeat is top-ranked, for their showmanship, awesomeness and the way the get the people rocking with them, it all felt like a massive metal party for everyone.
Last word then: Please go to the festival, I will, 30.000+ will and I hope that great bands will too.
See you next year Sweden Rock Festival, I am totally pumped for you next year.
