Sister covers “Malibu Beach Nightmare”

Posted in Sister on July 28th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

Recently the annual Rest in Sleaze festival kicked it off outside, under a roof, with lots of glamsters and rockers. As a surprise to me, they also played a song by the Finnish glam rock act Hanoi Rocks. The song is known to be one of the best Hanoi Rocks tracks, called “Mailbu Beach Nightmare”.
They actually did it well, or I mean, amazingly good. I love Sister, and I think you should love them to. Check it out below:

Cockblock Vains of Jenna and you are dead, officially!

Posted in VOJ on July 28th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

Haha, the best moment of Vains of Jennas history was when some of the members of the band physically took matters in their own hands. They actually beat up the tour manager of Cradle of Filth, cuz he cockblocked them, as in not letting them fuck some (obviously) hot chicks in the Cradle of Filth dressing room.
Listen to the report below:

I was there, Metallica in Hultsfred

It was so fucking amazing, that was the best song at the evening, the audience was crazy with the vocals so I got chills up and down my spine, goosebumps down my ass crack. I want to see them one more time, and another time after that, cuz this was the best thing I’ve ever seen.

Metallica, the kings of metal, and thats the truth!

Slash – Cleanin’ Out The Closet

Posted in Newz on July 22nd, 2009 by Dr. Feelgood

Having recently recieved a message on Facebook from Slash’s assistant (yes…. even I’m on the damned facebook….. -_-) Anyway, supposedly her and Slash’s wife Perla, are out on a right Rock N Roll mission to…. Clean out Slash’s closet….. Tough job ahead of you ladies… Upon sorting such out, they’re giving all of his old clothing items, hats, shirts, trousers, the works, to an LA charity. However, the point of calling upon us mere mortals with this news, was to bless us with the opportunity to help out with listing and naming videos/live performances in which Slash appeared in said garments. If you are of use, and actually help out, the assistant woman claims that you’ll be rewarded with an item from Slash’s current closet – stuff that he actually wears!!!
So. I report back here, armed with such grand information, so you lot (if you’re sad like me…) can give it a shot and contact her saying you’re happy to help!
To contact her, send an email to cleaningslashscloset@gmail.com stating what you’re willing to do.

Marcel Jakob [1964 - 2009]

Posted in Rock Hospital on July 21st, 2009 by Dr. Rock

marcel we love you_1I write this with almost nothing knowing about this person, Marcel Jakob. He was a bassist of pure skill, a member from Talisman and Yngwie Malmsteen.
Talisman was about to release a new album, and celebrating the 20th anniversary of their companionship.
We will miss him dearly and wish him the best with all the other great souls up in Heaven.
