Greg Leon was born in 1958 and grew up in Glendale, California, a foothills community of Los Angeles, and immediately made an impact on the blossoming live hard rock scene of Hollywood’s Sunset Strip in the late 70s. Primarily playing guitar and handling vocals, the acts that he fronted were Suite 19, with future Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, and the Greg Leon Invasion, with bassist Joey Vera (later of Armored Saint, Fate’s Warning and Anthrax) and drummer Carl Elizondo (later of Jag Wire, and playing under the stage name Carl James). Ok well. Its been a few years since 2007s simple but excellent “Take it Sleezy”. The debut release was a big fun glam rock n roll album. It wasnt technical, and many of the riffs you could place were taken from Motley Crue and Def Leppard. However the sheer energy and fun the album had made up for it. It was full with sing-along rock tracks and feelgood fun.
After much delay im back and writing the reviews i said id write and many more to come!! So heres the long awaited review of Dynaztys debut album “Bring the Thunder”. Dynazty were formed out of some of the ex members of Sharp and Foxey!
