Rudra Premiere Mother of All Music Videos (Warning: Epic Content)

Posted in Newz, Videos on January 10th, 2010 by Dr. Steel

Dr. Steel’s friends at Trinity Records HK are glad to announce:

Singapore’s originators of Vedic Metal, RUDRA, have already released the full version of their music video “Hymns from the Blazing Chariot”. It is taken from their best album to date “Brahmavidya I: Transcendental” which is released by TRINITY RECORDS HONG KONG (www.trinityrecords.com.hk) in Asia and America. If the teaser gave you high expectation about it, you won’t be disappointed as the director and the band have seen to it that the music video will clearly portray what the song is all about and they also make sure that it will be of the highest quality.

It’s like watching a well produced short film with a very good storyline and a very informative content about Vedic literature while still showcasing the band’s aggressive and technical nature.

You can watch the video in high definition here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVvDOTxEb_Q

Here’s some info about the video:

Rudra – Hymns from the Blazing Chariot

Before the start of the Kurukshetra War, Prince Arjuna is reluctant to go into battle as he has to fight his relatives, beloved friends and revered teachers.

In desperation, Arjuna turns to his charioteer and mentor, Krishna for advice. Krishna explains to Arjuna his duties as a warrior and reveals the nature of the Self.

Anvil goes touring 2010, videos available

Posted in Newz, Videos on January 10th, 2010 by Dr. Rock

Ofter the success off their documentary, Anvil unleashes their metal too the North American citizens. Anvil have been trying to get fame since the beginning, when it all started back in the early 80s. Touring with other awesome bands, their fame was declined, by some mysterious force and they went into cult status and was almost forgotten.
The band, in particular Kudlow and Reiner, was the subject of the 2008 documentary film “Anvil: The Story of Anvil”, directed by the screenwriter and former Anvil roadie Sacha Gervasi. Upon its release, the film garnered critical acclaim from many major publications, and has since brought the band renewed recognition, including opening slots with AC/DC and Saxon. Appearances at major heavy metal festivals, including Download and Loud Park, also followed the release of the film.

Pop culture and art meets in high speed

Posted in Videos on November 13th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

A user on YouTube (EagleACxDC) just sent me a link to one of his fast drawings. Fast drawing is when you draw something, record it and then edit it so it is twice (or more) faster then the original speed. The video the he sent me was with him drawing the faces of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, both singers of the huge, epic and amazing rock n’ roll band, AC/DC. Its fun too see that people are devoting their lives to something, that it turns you into a master of art, and combining art with pop culture is always encouraged, at least by me.
Check out the drawing below:

Stryper, the only band that I must see live

Posted in Eventz, Videos on November 5th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

I have been a die-hard fan of Stryper since an alcoholic accident I had back in 2006, nothing much but I after that I just started to listen to Stryper everyday. So 3 years later I have this awesome chance to see this amazing band live. The only thing that is in my way is if my boss lets me have a day off from work on the 28th of January next year, so I can drive the car to Gothenburh and just see the magic from a 4 piece band called Stryper. If this comes true I will shed a tear under my eye and I will be as happy as a child getting a lollipop, and you know what that means :D

Well for you who are into Stryper and want to check out their amazingness and awesomeness along will skillfulness, check out this acoustic live video below:

LION’S SHARE members write intro song for ice hockey team

Posted in Newz, Videos on October 15th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

LION’S SHARE members Lars Chriss and Sampo Axelsson have, in cooperation with Sidelake Media and Christian Rehn (ANGTORIA), written the official intro song for Swedish elite ice hockey team TIMRÅ IK (Red Eagles).

“The main riff was based on the song Shadows from LION’S SHARE’s Two (1997) album, with an AC/DC and RAMMSTEIN twist since this style works so well in hockey arenas.”
