Sweden Rock Festival 2010 is only a year away

Posted in SRF'09, SRF'10 on June 12th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

Hey man, I just figured, Sweden Rock Festival 2010 is only a year away. They will start the festival 12th of June and end it on 15th of June, which is kinda awesome. It will start on a Saturday and end on a Tuesday, which means that I get Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to rest my body after 72 beers before I get to work on Monday. So isn’t that just a massive plus on their side.

Hopefully the festival will be as great as it was this year, or even better. But what can really beat dancing and cheering to Flogging Molly, with a small sun-stream and thousands of people dancing and cheering with you.
I mean seriously, we danced all the time and my smile was bigger than ever. I must say that it was well needed in the cold weather we had, I heard that we even had ICE on our tents one morning.

And experiencing rain and cold under a festival isn’t something funny, trust me, but it was totally worth it. I had my best friends, my best beer and the best music, so it was great fun.

I can’t really tell how much I appreciate this festival in words. The whole vibe and feeling you get from it is just amazing, we have:
1. great music
2. great people
3. 99% peace (we saw a fight in the camp next to us)
4. beautiful women
5. awesome staff/helpers/salesmen
6. beer (!!!!!!!)

Solitary Glen does it again

Posted in SRF'09, Videos on June 7th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

I’ve been following this guy on YouTube for a while now, cuz of his sweet ass drum cover of Stryper songs, and he have now uploaded a new video for the song “Caught in the Middle”, you can see it below:

By the way, I just got back from Sweden Rock Festival today and I want to say that I will write a big report from it as I did last year. And fuck yeah what a festival it was, minus the poor weather everything was splendid. Beer and beer and a couple of more beers, sweet indeed.

To Be Continue…

SRF’09: Me likey mucho

Posted in SRF'09 on June 2nd, 2009 by Dr. Rock

Well I will be heading down to the Sweden Rock Festival in like 12 hours. I am pumped about it: Beer, great music, great people, great things to do and beautiful women. What more can a rocker beg for? I also like to point out that I will use twitter this year, which you can follow on http://twitter.com/rockhospital or in the right menu of this website.

I am looking forward to this years festival, with great bands like Volbeat, H.e.a.t, Hammerfall, Journey, In Flames, Vains of Jenna, Babylon Bombs, Crucified Barbara, Heaven and Hell, Twisted Sister, Dream Theatre and the list goes on.

I will also make a report this year, like I did last year so please check back later. There will hopefully be more pictures and videos this year, I will be linking to them, uploading them to show you all how much fun we can have on a rock/metal festival in Sweden, the way it is supposed to be.

And for those who will be there with me and all the other 30.000+, I wish you happy hunting and good luck with the beer drinking and music listening. If you recognize me, you are welcome to say hello.

Well, nothing more to say, see you when I get back.

This year has a good line-up for the annual Sweden Rock Festival, hopefully the weather will bring us warmth and sunlight. Beer can will be emptied one by one, people will sing and dance and I will of course report for the festival live, through our twitter account. You can follow me on the right side, where it says “Twit: Dr. Rock”.

The front man (Justin Hawkins) from The Darkness have now a new band, Hot Leg, they will play at the festival along with Deathstars, Vains of Jenna, Babylon Bombs, Innocent Rosie, Witchcraft, Rage and Fourever.

Personal favorites: Vains of Jenna and Deathstars. Hopefully I can come backstage this year to, by asking the Lizzy or someone in the band. We’ll see about that…

SRF announces 9 new bands for the festival

Posted in SRF'09 on January 28th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

Okey, so I told you that they would announce new bands for Sweden Rock Festival (SRF) this week, and they did. But I can’t actually say that they I am amazed by the new bands, well I’ve heard about Flogging Molly, but not the other bands, check the list below

FLOGGING MOLLY (US)
JON OLIVA’S PAIN (US)
KAMELOT (N)
DEMON (UK)
VOIVOD (CAN)
THOR (CAN)
IMPELLITTERI (US)
GRAND MAGUS (S)
TRACENINE (CAN)

I thought they would announce something really special, like Triumph last year, it was their only show in like millions of years. But nope, just some (to me) unknown band.
