Who Is Decaying My Youth?

Posted in Interviewz, Rock Hospital on May 9th, 2010 by Dr. Steel

It’s this dude named Chad, apparently.

The one-man project Decaying My Youth is the fiery cleansing, the absolute pestilence, purgative sonic diarrhea. Playing riff-driven doom-death in the grand tradition of whoever the fuck played riff-driven doom-death in the past, present, and now, brains-of-the-band Chad Nottingham wasn’t too cool for a soul searching chat. Here’s the guy waxing terse on his music, hometown, and bestest friends.

[Important Note: For lack of any decent pics aside from a mugshot, Dr. Steel has resorted to displaying the female form.]

Dave Lepard (CRASHDÏET) [In Memory Of]

Posted in CRASHDÏET, Interviewz on January 20th, 2010 by Dr. Rock

I have released this interview again for the memory of Dave Lepard

dave lepard rip 1 december hotell room

What person or band, got you into rock?
I guess that it must have been Sebastian bach tha really got me into this “Marshall mouth” livin type of thingie.
But along Mr:Bach i`ve always loved Axl and his diva stylie and the rest of the la 80s bunch of wakkos…

What was the first CD or LP you ever bought?
My first album i bought was Europe 86 , but i got a whole deal of vinyls at an even earlier age from my sis, dunno if i really understood it then thou…hehe

The best song you’ve ever heard?
Drink fight n fuck with GG allin

Do you have any favorite bands, name 3 of them?
10cc , Skids , The gunners.

Do you have any goals in your life, if you do what could that be?
I really wanna go into space in real life not just in a hallucinogenic way….stay clean.

crashdiet demo 2005 front

If you would pick a band, any kind, what band would do an
opening for CrashDiet on a tour?

I wanna se Seb bach cryin on his knees coz i wipe his ass on stage. hehe but i really would like to be onstage together with Lill lindfors.

Name one or more bands that should do a reunion, and why
I dont like reunions at all, if the old chums decide to call it quits then it should be like that, perhaps crashdiet can be the only reason for me to see a reunion that i would like….

Do you think a persons image, like names and clothes are important to
become a rock star?

Of fukkin corpse i think its 50/50 with looks musicallity image and the whole 69 yards but i think the main thing is the fukkin attitude if ya aint got it and dont think yer the coolest walkin creature on earth , how would you then persuade ppl to dig yer wikked act of art.

dave lepard grave rip

Why did you come up with the idea of having style inspiration from
the 80s (not that its a bad idea, I think it totally rock)?

I guess its mainly coz its a fukkin killer look with the hair and everythin, and i was like so fed up on all these shorthaired headbangers….doesnt quite look that cool for me….

Now this is my last question to you Dave, what do you think of this
interview. Was it good, bad, not important or anything?

Its alwayz kewl to do interviews with ppl with a burning heart for rock n roll…..

And one thing, what would you like to say to all the kids out there
wanting to become a rock star like you?

KEEP THE FUKKIN HAIR IN SHAPE & REST IN SLEAZE…….we do this for you all…..

Mr. Jan Trippner: A man you should know (if you’re in a band)

Posted in Interviewz on September 18th, 2009 by Dr. Steel

Graphic designers are the unsung heroes of the media world. Just look at Jan Trippner: from his mind’s eye and his very fingertips emerge the symbols that define everyday products, be it kvlt black metal albums or your favorite brand of ketchup in the grocery. While Jan’s influence on modern aesthetics hasn’t been established yet, his work is nonetheless vital to our commercialized society, even if it’s often taken for granted. In this exclusive interview, Jan talks about—among other things—what it takes to be a freelancer in his line of work.

Interview With Absent Christ (this dude is kvlt!)

Posted in Interviewz on September 15th, 2009 by Dr. Steel

Absent Christ logo

Cute guys and savage bedroom black metal don’t usually go hand in hand. With the former connoting Backstreet Boys and the latter Varge Vikernes growing his hair long in a dingy, cramped space, plotting to burn churches while toying with synthesizers. It just doesn’t fit. However, the dude behind North Carolina’s Absent Christ proves the exception to the rule. Spencer Van Dyke is quite the new comer in the genre and a seasoned ladies man to boot. Intrigued? Here’s the stud himself on his real band, songwriting, and meaningful relationships with the opposite sex.

Chris Laney [Interview 2]

Posted in Chris Laney, Interviewz on March 27th, 2009 by Dr. Rock

So as planned I got a new interview with Chris Laney, mostly concerning his new album: Pure. Chris Laney is a person with full of talent and have finally put out his own album, instead of helping other bands with the recordings. When I met him at the AC/DC concert I got a promo version of his album, a review of is can be read here on the site.
Well, just read the interview, and enjoy. This is the second interview I’ve done in years, and hopefully you will like it.
