I recently interviewed the new guitarist for Swedish Hard Rock band Crazy Lixx to see what hes got to offer the made for arena rock band.

And

Hey Andy, You have recently joined Crazy Lixx. Can you tell me how that feels, and how did the opportunity come about?
Yeah, it feels great!

Well, Danny contacted me a while ago and we started talking about the situation, i sent over some recordings and went down to Malmo to play with them and everything felt good, it sounded great and we connected very fast. It all went down very well.

So, as you know you have taken the position of guitarist in the band. A position originally filled by the now Hardcore Superstar guitarist Vic Zino. Its well known that Vic was a very close member of the band to the guys and it was tough for them when he left. Was it hard taking over the guitarist position and do you feel any pressure at all?
Well no, I mean it could have been hard but the guys made it very easy for me, they gave me alot of space and i’ve been hanging and playing guitar with Vic and become good friends with him but i understand the situation and i know those things can be very tuff but that’s the way it is you know.

You used to be in Swedish Hard Rock band Sharp. Which featured several members who are now in bands such as Jailbait and Dynazty. How does playing in Crazy Lixx compare to your time in Sharp and how would you compare the two bands?

Well first of all Sharp was never the style of music anyone of us really wanted to play, we thought it was when we started the band but no, thats why we broke up, we all wanted to play different styles. Crazy Lixx is exactly what i want to do and thats what makes it so easy, and of course the strongest reason for me to join.

Crazy Lixx recently announced they would be releasing their album in Japan, featuring two new songs. Do you play on those recordings? If not when will people be hearing new Crazy Lixx material featuring the Mark 2 line up?
Those songs were recorded at the same time as the album so no, i don’t play on them. I really don’t know exactly when you will hear new material but hopefully in the near future.

Crazy Lixx now

Who are your biggest influences?
Impossible to say just like that they are many, but to mention a few i would have to say hmm… Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Extreme, Def Leppard, Skid Row and Yngwie of course haha, the list goes on forever..

How do you think Crazy Lixx fits into todays music scene with alot of music popular generally being emo, indie, hip-hop?
Generally todays music scene is not good, not good at all but i know thats just temporary, I mean they’re alot of great hardrock today but i guess it doesn’t fit todays music scene in the way you put it but thats why we do this, to bring it all back!

Will Crazy Lixx be touring soon and are you excited to get out on the road with them?

Yeah i’m very excited to get out and play! It’s gonna be awesome, new places, new people, Very exciting

What does playing Rock N Roll give you Andy?
It gives me everything! Like when you put on welcome to the jungle or highway star for example you get that rush and thats what it’s all about. Rock n roll is about not being like everyone else and doin everything like you want to! I’ve always done everything my own way and i think thats the way it is.

Playin guitar gives me energy and strength and when i’m on stage, lookin down on that screamin crowd i let it out, it’s the only thing i wanna do!

Thanks for participating in this interview Andy. I wish you the best of luck with Crazy Lixx and i hope to see you guys touring in the UK again soon. Is there one last thing youd like to say on behalf of Crazy Lixx and yourself?

Thank you! I hope we’ll play in the UK soon, Well i would like to thank all of you Crazy Lixx fans who been writing, really means alot!

I recently conducted an email interview with the band Heavens Basement who i spoke about a few days ago here (scroll down to see) heres what the guys had to say. Due to it being an email sent one, its a bit more formal than what i usually do, but dont worry, ill still try to do my usual style of instant messaging in future interviews so those amusing questions pop up too!

Heavens Basement

Hey guys, can you tell us a bit about Heavens Basement for those who dont know?

There’s five of us. From five different towns in the UK and we play rock and roll music of the highest order

What was the history behind forming Heavens Basement?
Last summer, after not seeing each other for a few months we all headed down to brighton for a party at Richie’s house.
It didn’t take long til we was all jamming again. We was all laughing about being in Richie Hevanz Basement and it stuck.
By the end of the night we had a name for the band and about 4 or 5 new songs.

Can you tell the fans what exactly happened to Roadstar?

After we finished making the second album it was pretty clear that no one was really that happy.
We had a meet up with the management and label to talk about it and we all decided that it had come as far as it could. It was the right time for it to finish.
We had a great few years doing it, we met some great people and played some awesome shows but when we stopped enjoying it, it started to feel like we was doing it for the wrong reasons.
The first few months after everyone went off and did their own thing. It was cool because when we did meet up again, we all felt completely recharged and we all had the fire back.

Will you guys still be playing Roadstar material live along with new stuff?
No. We feel like we’ve moved on now. The new music is a complete representation of where we’re at right now.

What would you say influenced you guys to play rock ‘n’ roll and to make the decision to live off rock ‘n’ roll?
Because there is nothing better than being in a band. Playing live is where it all happens for us. There’s nothing like it.
The first time i ever heard guns n’ roses i felt like my whole world changed, from that day i’ve never even considered doing anything else.
The way i felt then, if we can make someone else feel that way…..then we’re on the right track.

Rob of Heavens Basement

Does Heavens Basement have tour plans, and can you tell us them if so?
Of course, although there’s nothing set in stone yet. We have big plans on all fronts.

Have you guys started working on a debut album and when do you think it will be released?
We haven’t started it yet, we’re still in the studio writing.
But we’re not far off now, there’s about 40 new songs we’re actually working on at the moment.
It’s all pretty exciting, we do feel like we’ve hit the ground running with this.

Would you say the music you are aiming to make will be similar to your previous work during Roadstar or something else?
People familiar with the old band will certainly make connections, after all its still the same members and we’re still playing rock music.
But there is certainly a shift in the attitude of the band, we just feel like we’ve grown up and have more to say now.

How does it feel to be in a way ,”starting again”, with a new name, material, building fanbases back up again etc?
It feels great. At first i think we probably thought it wouldn’t happen, that it might be too much of a mountain to climb.
After that first night at Richie’s tho, we knew we could do it if we wanted to. We spent the next 6 months together 24/7.
Its the hardest we’ve ever worked and i think it shows. We’ve put our hearts and souls into these new songs.

Will you ever work with another record label again or are you guys going to do it on your own now?
Well, i don’t think we ever did get to work with a label. The deal with sanctuary was a non-starter. There was some great people
at the label rooting for us but for whatever reasons after the first EP that was it. To be honest we didn’t have much direct contact
with them at that time. Once we’d finished the first album there was no label so the management decided to set up their own label
and release it themselves. That was the point that roadstar stopped moving forwards.

How do you feel about the current music scene?
I think the problem with music is the fact that there always has to be a “scene”
There’s 1000’s of great bands around but you have to look a little bit harder than what’s handed to you on a plate.
We’ve always thought that to be a great band you have to exist on your own and not attach yourself to any fashion
or trend.

Do you aim to change anything in the current music scene?
Yes. We feel like the title of best rock band in the world is up for grabs.

I’d like to thank you for participating in this interview, before we finish, is there anything else youd like to say to the fans on behalf of the band?
Sit tight. We’ll keep you posted. We’re on our way……..

I recently conducted a fun online interview with D.C Danny from the Swedish Hard Rock band Crazy Lixx.

Crazy Lixx

Hey there danny, for those who dont know already, can you tell me a little bit about Crazy Lixx?
We’re a swedish hard rock band that has been around for roughly 6 years and we’ve just released our debut album ‘Loud Minority’ in november 2007.

Awesome man, i loved Loud Minority, especially the song Dr.Hollywood. What would you say inspired the band to form and play rock music?

Woa, we’ve done it for so long I can hardly remember why we even began to do it in the first place =) No, but I guess it’s the rock n’ roll dream that some kids have, some of us don’t grow up! And frankly, playing rock music is about the best thing I know so why should I persue something else?
The decision fell on hard rock cause that’s the kind of music I love playing the most, i do listen to other kinds of music aswell

Would that explain the Avril Lavigne T-shirt? i’d been meaning to bring that up at some point :)

Hehe, gotta love Avril, mostly because she’s hot as hell but I must admit to the fact that I have some of her songs too. Funny thing, ’cause I really got lot’s of questions ’bout the shirt in the UK.

Danny with Avril T-shirt

Yes, when i went to see you guys play with Hardcore Superstar a few people in the crowd spoke about the t-shirt amoungst themselves while you were setting up! How did you guys feel about the UK tour, did you enjoy it?
It was great! It was the first time that we toured in a bus like that and the first time we played 7 gigs in a week so it was a good experience. The guys from Hardcore are great to hang out with and we were really surprised that the audience in the UK gave us such a warm welcome, us being the support band and all. Seems you guys really like 80’s hard rock over there =)

Ah well you guys got a good reception because you put on a bloody good show in my opinion, as good as Hardcore Superstar. I think UK rock fans that are able to find out about the new Hard Rock bands like Crazy Lixx and Hardcore Superstar love it, sadly its not a very supported genre in the mainstream media at the moment here so its good to have bands like yours keeping it alive. How would you compare UK audiences and shows to Swedish audiences and shows?
Well, in Sweden we’re used to people knowing some of our songs and maybe they’ve been to one of our shows before so there’s a differance but actually I was a bit surprised that people could sing along to some of our tunes in the UK aswell, that’s really cool ’cause we kinda thought we’d have to start from square one in Britain. Kinda’ like when we started doing gigs in Sweden five years ago, but luckilly, that wasn’t the case.

I think the internet is probably the reason why. I personally wouldnt know about any of the bands coming from the Swedish scene if it wasnt for the internet and i certainly wouldnt be able to get my hands on any of the merchandise if it wasnt for online stores either. Will your album be released in the UK and/or USA at some point?
Yes, If everything went as planned it should have been released in the UK on the 23rd of January but then it’s up to the stores to actually order it in. I’m not sure ’bout USA at the moment, but I guess our label is looking at distribution there aswell.

I did not know that, a call to arms for the fans in the UK to phone those stores up for the album is needed i think haha! Are there any plans for the band to return to the UK for another tour soon, or any other countries for that matter?
Not any plans at the moment no, we’re currently looking at booking some festivals for the summer and I guess most of them will be in Sweden but we’ve already got two festivals in Switzerland booked and we’ve had request from all around, including Brazil! We also had a tour in italy planned for april, but we postponed it since we’re going to do some more support gigs for HCSS in Sweden during spring. They’re really big over here and to support them is a great opportunity to get some more fans.

Ah Brazilians, this type of Hard Rock seems to be in high demand over there, those guys know how to rock. I could see how youd want to tour Italy also, alot of Sleaze Metal bands have been coming from the underground there lately. What would you say playing Rock N Roll gives you Danny?
First of all it gives me the possibility to use all of my creativity when writing songs, I would go mad if I wouldn’t be able to write and record all the material that’s popping up in my mind. And the feeling of performing live is unbeatable, it’s the recognition that all people are looking for, no matter the proffession. To stand on stage and feel you’re entertaining hundreds or thousands of people by doing your thing… that’s just fantastic.

Crazy Lixx together

Thats great man, and would you say your living the Rock N Roll dream, or isnt it what you expected it to be?
I’d say I haven’t reached it yet =) But I do have to say that all things aren’t exactly the way you thought they’d be. Most of the downsides have to do with the music industry ,it isn’t always I walk in the park but don’t get me started on the industry or we’ll be stuck here all day… =)

haha i know what you mean, alot of people i talk to who have been or are in proffessional bands often complain about the music industry, and rightfully so. Moving on then haha, does the band plan to release another single soon and can you say what it will be and when it will be?
We’re currently discussing it with our label and we’re hoping on releasing it in Sweden sometime during march-april. It will feature one of the songs that was left over from the recording of ‘Loud Minority’ and at least one single from the album, most likely ‘Make Ends Meet’.

Thats great man, so like a B-side kinda thing. Will there be a video in filmed in support of the single also?
Nothing planned yet but I’d love to do another video, not sure it pays of in this day and age though, the music channels playing videos are becoming fewer and fewer in Sweden and most people don’t have the big channels like MTV and VH1, but, I’d like to do another video and you can always put it on youtube or myspace right?

Totally, im always embedding youtube videos on my myspace profile for people to check out. And its also a good way to link people to knew bands who are too lazy to search them for themselves. I think music channels are still very importent here in the UK however channels such as MTV dont really play good rock n roll music anymore, they tend to love hip-hop and rap here instead.

Id like to thank you for taking part in this online interview Danny, its been a pleasure! Is there anything else youd like to say on behalf of Crazy Lixx and yourself?
“If you book us, we will come…”

I Caught up with Rick-y the bass player of a new Swedish Rock N Roll under the codename “T.I.T.S” for an online interview. T.I.T.S were formed out half of the bands Sharp, and Foxey.

T.I.T.S

Hey rick-y, so tell us a little about your new, currently unnamed but under the temporary name of “T.I.T.S” band?

Yeah It’s a brand new rock n roll band with all the right members this time. We’re formed out of the ashes of once great hope for rock bands Sharp and Foxey. The music is best described as hard rebellious rock with focus on energeric live performances.

Thats cool man, i was a fan of both Sharp and Foxey so this band sounds awesome. How does it feel now playing in “T.I.T.S”?

It’s a blast. Really. Whenever we’re around it feels more like a gang than a band. Nothing else matters it’s us against the world now. And we’re not stopping till we reach the top and further.

Sounds like you guys have got something to say. Who would you say the band is most influenced by and why did you decide you wanted to get into rock music?

Actually what we’re most influenced by is whats going on around us in the world. We’re trying to get all the young dudes and girls to go out and do something with their lifes instead of spending all the time in front of for ex. a computer learning games. Go out and do something, change something. Become something!

And most import just don’t accept the world as it is. Make your own decisions.

Thats cool man, i agree i think this generation is very different from the past generations when they didnt have computers and things. And its showing with the lack of talented rock bands around the world, luckily the swedish scene is getting stronger all the time. “T.I.T.S” recently debuted live at the Rest In Sleaze festival, playing live with many othet swedish rock bands. What was it like playing R.I.S?

Oh, it was amazing.. Since no one ever heard any songs from us we were overwhelmed by the feedback. It was by far the best experience ever. You really could feel the energy exchange between us in the band and the band to the audience. It was great. And it’s something very strange arousing when there’s a handful of peops grabing your “long johnson” while playing. Strange but exciting ;)

And Lisbeth Hellman did a fantastic job for us.. Even though the split up of Sharp and Foxey came after both our bands been booked to the event. She let us play. After lots of trouble working out “whos got the most right to play” and so on..
All in all it all worked out and we had a blast and a great first apperance to the public

Thats cool man, i think RIS is a very importent show in sweden and for the new sleaze metal, glam metal, hard rock scene. When will the band have a new name, myspace and songs sorted out for public access?

We’re working all day and night to get a name together.. but it’s hard.. and since we got the chance to do it all from the beginning again we’re doing it all RIGHT this time. So the name must be the best suitable for what we’re on the verge of doing, a rock n roll revolution! But we can’t sit around waiting for a name. We’re starting recordings in february. For now we’re gonna record 4-5 songs just to have for the promokit and to promote ourselfs on the net.

We’re having some discussions with several record labels.. but man these times are tough. Not a single deal has been near OK! So in the meantime we’re planning and getting together a team of our own. Maybe we have to do it all by ourselfs. Maybe thats the best… So in the next few months we’ll be playing and touring a lot in Sweden. We’re flipping coins between LA and Japan. Sweden is to small we have to get out of here and continue the crusade around the world

Rick-y At Rest In Sleaze Festival

So the fans should be seeing something soon then. I also agree with you about sweden being to small, i dont think enough of the new swedish bands try to promote themselves out of sweden. I think vains of jenna are the only ones so far to actually move to the USA. So, What does playing Rock N Roll give you rick-y?

It’s everything.. it’s the reason to get up in the morning. Rock n roll is about doing everything your own way. And that’s what I’m always been doing. That rush you get from being on stage is worth every hour of hard work. When I first got into rock it was about the music now it’s more about the lifestyle. It’s all rock n roll. Rockers have and always will have a special bond to each other. And it’s so nice whats happening in Sweden right now. To go out almost everyday in the week and have several bars and clubs to choose from, it wasn’t like that a few years ago, every single day it’s a happening with rock going on in sthlm.

Since I still have to work to get my money .. I at least chose a profession where I can be hungover at work and go out and party . It’s even nice when you can go out to some hip and cool mainstream place and meet the guys from poodles, easy action europe and whatever and still have a rocking party at what we call the “brat-bars” where all the rich fuckers are hangaround. All they tell you these “bratz” is that they wanna be like us. So we just go there sometimes and show them how life suppose to be, and stir around in the pit a bit. Make a mess and get thrown out for being to obscene, it’s always fun… but mostly we hang around the cool rockclubs like Crazy Nights or Rocks. where you can go totally nuts.

Everyone at this bratplaces tells us that they’ve been reading “The dirt” and that they used to play guitar when they where young. And that their rich parents wouldn’t let them rock the fuck out. So we just go there and mess with their minds and tell them to fuck their parents and do what they want to do.
Macky actually got a highshot pilot to grab his guitar again and now his a regular at our shows.. standing there in his suit and rocking out and headbanging.

Thats awesome rick-y, Rock N Roll is always a liberation to people who choose to embrace it and your story proves this. Thank you for taking part in this online interview or else id have had to fly all the way over to Sweden to talk to you! One last thing youd like to say on behalf of “T.I.T.S” and yourself?

Thank you! And I really think you should come over here.. otherwise we will visit to your home place with “Spritfest med Horor” . We’re working on some gigs in germany, japan and UK so stay in touch. We’re soon have something online. Maybe Mr. Lee could be so nice to link some youtube-clips to this article! Id also like to add, Gustaf is our dear friend and official photographer and would like to thank him for taking so much great pictures of us and all the other bands in Sthlm. All those pics gonna make him famous and rich someday.. just wait!

-End-

So there we go rock n roll fans and heres some links of the band you can check out

dave lepard rip 1 december hotell room

What person or band, got you into rock?
I guess that it must have been Sebastian bach tha really got me into this “Marshall mouth” livin type of thingie.
But along Mr:Bach i`ve always loved Axl and his diva stylie and the rest of the la 80s bunch of wakkos…

What was the first CD or LP you ever bought?
My first album i bought was Europe 86 , but i got a whole deal of vinyls at an even earlier age from my sis, dunno if i really understood it then thou…hehe

The best song you’ve ever heard?
Drink fight n fuck with GG allin

Do you have any favorite bands, name 3 of them?
10cc , Skids , The gunners.

Do you have any goals in your life, if you do what could that be?
I really wanna go into space in real life not just in a hallucinogenic way….stay clean.

crashdiet demo 2005 front

If you would pick a band, any kind, what band would do an
opening for CrashDiet on a tour?

I wanna se Seb bach cryin on his knees coz i wipe his ass on stage. hehe but i really would like to be onstage together with Lill lindfors.

Name one or more bands that should do a reunion, and why
I dont like reunions at all, if the old chums decide to call it quits then it should be like that, perhaps crashdiet can be the only reason for me to see a reunion that i would like….

Do you think a persons image, like names and clothes are important to
become a rock star?

Of fukkin corpse i think its 50/50 with looks musicallity image and the whole 69 yards but i think the main thing is the fukkin attitude if ya aint got it and dont think yer the coolest walkin creature on earth , how would you then persuade ppl to dig yer wikked act of art.

dave lepard grave rip

Why did you come up with the idea of having style inspiration from
the 80s (not that its a bad idea, I think it totally rock)?

I guess its mainly coz its a fukkin killer look with the hair and everythin, and i was like so fed up on all these shorthaired headbangers….doesnt quite look that cool for me….

Now this is my last question to you Dave, what do you think of this
interview. Was it good, bad, not important or anything?

Its alwayz kewl to do interviews with ppl with a burning heart for rock n roll…..

And one thing, what would you like to say to all the kids out there
wanting to become a rock star like you?

KEEP THE FUKKIN HAIR IN SHAPE & REST IN SLEAZE…….we do this for you all…..

Listen to “Shove it up your azz” by Danger:

kidnrob2.jpg

Hey guyz! Thanks for doin an interview with rock hospital…So,I wanna know how you came up with the band name. What’s the story behind it?
Kid: Its Paris Idea and if I don’t got it totally wrong.. its from a Mötley Crüe track on their album ”Shout At The Devil”.
Paris: Thats right, and we are pretty DANGERous to!

Describe your sound and what’s so different about it?
Kid: Our sound is 80s rock n roll
Paris: Its Old/new: glam/sleaze/punk rockin’fukkin’roll

What country/city would you guyz most like to tour?
Paris: I think USA and Japan would be the time of my life.
Kid: Many cities are really great support here in Sweden..also Germany.. but USA is so one of our biggest goals to do.

You guyz are all very good lookin and glamed out! Is it an everyday look for you all? Where did you get the idea from?
Kid: Nah we like the theatralic parts in shows and why not make people crazy and curious or irritated about it even outside the stage. Cant come up with any specific source for the idea.
Paris: I love clothes, makeup, hairsparay and all that kind of shit, and I have always been kind of extreme and an outsider, so I do my shit on stage and of stage! And ofcorse backstage, if I dont get naked!

Where do you see Danger in 5 years?
Kid: Recording our third professional record and then touring the world once again.

Who writes the Music?
Kid: We’re mostly writing the music together.
Paris: Yez, thats the thing with DANGER! We are a BAND, no solo artists!

What are the long term career goals for the band? What would happen if the band didn’t work out?
Paris: Our plan: DO the world, conquer it!!! It will work out! Thats it! I have no backup plan!
Kid: We want to tour and make music as much as we can..and work with it professionally.. It means that we don’t want any other stupid jobs or things that keeping our potentials and musical creativities locked up.

Are you boyz excited about touring Germany and Netherlands?
Kid: Yeah, its gonna be a blazt!…

Go on,Tell us a krayzie story…I think Danger has something to tell us.
Kid: We’ve got tons of them if you look back on this first year. You can sleep in the bus in a quite unknown town and its fuckin freezin outside… just cause of bad organizers on no good clubs after a gig.
Or… you can wake up all sweaty with two or three really beautiful girls in a bed big as my kitchen floor haha… more of that please.
Paris: Thats true, you never know wats gona happend when the boys are around!

Where are the best groupies and what makes them so good?
Paris: ALL groupies ALL fans are the best! hmm there are somr freaks sometimes, but what the fuck, rock on!
Kid: Who said groupies are good!? Hahaha… No, I really dont know.. I think Sweden has the most beautiful girls. Its good if they are intrested in what we´re doing and listening to our songs I suppose.

What got you all into the Rock n Roll lifestyle?
Paris: I dont really know, here I am, right in the middle of it and I love it!
Kid: All great rockbands, playing an instrument, meeting new people/friends and getting the possibility to explore other places.

For thoze reading this, and plan on hitting one of your shows, give us an idea of what to expect.
Kid: You´re gonna get awesome live performance, colorful show with great songs and a whole lotta energy.
Paris: My dick… you never know

Why did you boyz wanna start a glam/sleaze band?
Kid: The majority of us all in the band are raised to listen to all those great bands during the younger years.. I guess glam/sleaze was the most extreme. Cool lookin bands with the greatest songs.. such things infects you in a kinda poweful way.. You want to see what your idols knows and have seen…You want to get out there and be a part of it.

What are the main infulences? What makes them so infulential to you?
Paris: all kind of musik actually! Im in to very simple musik wich you can sing a long with! I dont like pretentious guitarsolos or pretentious people, thats just not my thing!
Kid: My influences are people like David Bowie, Marc Bolan and Steven Tyler.. I think they have everything from greatest voice to best stage presence.

Alrite! Thank you all for takin yer time! Do you have any final words?
Paris: To all who read thiz: Be yourself, dont break for nothing! Do the things you beleve in, and do it 666% Just go out there and be yourself !!! YOU are the one that decides who YOU are! kisses
Kid: Rock n Roll never dies.. Keep Up!

[thumb:108:l]Sister Sin have been in Germany touring with W.A.S.P as their opening act. I just had to contact her about this:

Hi there Liv. You’ve just played with the dudes in W.A.S.P over in germany. How did that feel?
totally surrealistic!!!!! the whole tour was great and everone was so nice to us… It felt very wierd to play for so many people, there were like 800-1000 pers and we have only played for like 200 pers before.. so we were nervous as hell… But it turned out great, and people seem to like us a lot..

Can you tell us something from the tour bus, any fun stories you can share to the visitors?
God, I have never had such a funny time…Sister sin are like the funniest people on earth, never a boring minute.. one weird thing, we went to McDonalds late after a gig and had to give autografhs to everone in the staff hehe..

How is the future looking for Sister Sin?
We are hopefull … can’t say anything to you now but we might have somethings going on …

And as I’ve seen you also work with Nocturnal Models (a little more rock n’ rollish model agenture) Do you have anything new with that or is it on the loose?
Right now I dont have so much time for modelling because of the band, but I still do modelling and I still love it!!

Thanks for your time, hope to see you guys in Sister Sin in the near future!

Thanx back!

Wow, that sounds exiciting. Well we just have to wait for more action from the band.

Hey Rob how ya doing today?
All good thanks.

What bands were you in before Loud N Nasty?
I played in a Kiss tribute band and I also played in a Punk band in the early 90s.

So whats the story behind Loud N Nasty? How did you first get hooked up with Chris Loud?
He later joined my kiss tribute band as Ace.

I think it’s fair to say ‘Teaser,Teaser’ rose above all expectations ,How do you feel about the success of that album?
Thanks.
Well the response have been great but we want more!
Teaser was just one step on the way get ready for next on!

Loud N Nasty have some real anthems, a few of my favourites are Play Dirty and Saturday Night, do you follow any formula when you write them?
No its just about timing and the mood were in when we write the songs.
I think its hard to follow some formula when making music. If you try to hard to do a song like for example Play Dirty and to follow the same formula you end up thinking too much and thats when it dont feel right you got to write when the feeling is right and when the songs come to you and not you trying to force it out from nowhere.

I have a feeling that ‘Teaser’ is just a sign of things to come would you agree? and what can we expect from the next album?
Sure! Teaser is the album that opened some doors for us and its defiantly just the beginning. We just write the music that we would like to listen to I think its hard to find the type of music I like today so we do it ourselves. And its really nice to know there are more than us that like our stuff too.

What stage is the next album at? How is the production coming along?
We have just mixed the first three songs and we have so much fun!
Those three songs are killers and that is just the beginning!

Whats your best memory of being on tour?
Its to meet all the fans and to see people from all over singing along in the lyrics, its a thrillride!
Can you tell us something funny or wild that has happened to Loud n Nasty?
Oh man, the tour with Vain in Italy was just crazy!!!
Ask Vain and they know all about it Hahahaha!

What your favourite Loud N Nasty song?
I really like Play Dirty and Hollywood dream.

Last year you played five dates in England, what were they like?
We liked UK allot! We did those shows with Faster Pussycat and we had so much fun!
And people had warned us about the audience and that it was so hard to be an opening act in Uk??? We did not see anything of that! The Crowd was great and we loved it!

Do you plan to return to the UK?
We will defiantly go back to UK But dont know when?
We would like to go with bigger show next time. Its not fair that only some people can see the whole thing, you know with pyrotechnics and all.

When you were growing up what was the first band you listened to?

I got my first record from my aunt and that was The Runnaways: Queens of noice And I loved it and still do! And second one was unmasked by Kiss and I was sold!

Loud n Nasty have a great stage show, but who was the first band you saw in concert?
Kiss

What do you do in your time off?
I dont got too much time of But I like to ride my Harley.

What are your feelings about the other members of the band?
Other members???? I thought it was only me Ha ha ha!

What do you think of the current music scene in sweden? What bands do you think are particuarly good?(if any)
Hmm To be honest I dont listen too much to anything new, but I really like Hardcore Superstars.

What band would you most like to play with?
LOUDNNASTY

Lastly, Thanks very much for doing the interview with Rock Hospital is there anything you wish to say?
Hope to see your painted faces out there soon!

[thumb:86:l]Hey Blacky, How you feeling today?
Pretty fuckin hot and hung over - gonna have a glass of sugar in a bit to battle it.

So when you were growing up what bands did you listen to?
Guns, Sex pistols, Iggy pop, Ramones. Its always been about you punk.

As a singer and a frontman who would you say is the biggest and best?
Biggest prob Luciano Pavorotti, Best was Iggy pop - now its me.

Can you tell us how the Rebels got started?
Ye - Me and Meady Rebel would go and watch bands on our local circuit nodding their heads and having no fuckin tunes. We would come away every night moaning as we hit the white lightning cider. moaning about no-one gives a fuck about what the kids give a fuck about. Rebels was then born. We didnt stop till we had every member who was a born performer.

When the Rebels write a song how do you go about it?
Write it acoustically mainly - thats when you know its a fuckin good song. For me its about the lyrics, its about kids going fuck that happened to me or fuck thats me - or is this dude following me around.
Then we jam the fucker out until its done.

Opening for Brides of Destruction, Gilby Clarke and soon to come Faster Pussycat, what’s it like to open for such great acts?
Fuckin bang on !! some amzing musicians - they feel the same us - theyd all heard about us before they came over and wanted to be part of us as much as we wanted to share the stage with them. Brides were fuckin class A.

Whats it like back stage with the Rebels?
I fuckin stay there on my own. I have no energy left after the show. Ive got to feel like that or id feel like I was cheating the crowd, who’ve come to see the rebels. So straight away its silence and sweat dripping then someone will go for a beer from the rider, then the fight for fair lager share begins.

I am soon to come to my very first Rebels live show, what should i expect from the Rebels stage show?
Fuckin everything my good man !!! Its like a big fight between Punk and Rock staged by circus performers dressed like the coolest cats.

If you could play any band , past or present who would you like to play with?
Iggy

Can you tell us one of your best stories from the road?
No I cant tell you any of the top 25. not here .

The Rebels have recently recorded a cover of Led Zepplin’s ‘Rock n Roll’ for Classic Rock, what was it like to record such a classic song, did you feel any pressure?
No pressure, we know what were doing, we know we have such a grasp on modern and classic music that it is natural. Ego’s aside its the fuckin truth.

The rebels are soon to release thier debut single named ‘You’re just another drug i’ve got to kick’, what can you tell us about this track?
Its about a partner being a drug. You know the feeling . When its over you have dark days and sweaty nights, and you think fuck I need to get hold of her. Just resist. Now that can be drugs or women. ANd to degrade a relationship as just another drug ive gotta kick - is the ultimate kick in the tits so was fun….

The single will be out in late september time i understand?
Correct - i think

Is there an album planned?
The tracks are there - and there is talk of one more single after this then the album, launch.

The Rebels are currently unsigned despite alot of media attention , can we expect to see the Rebels on a label anytime soon?
We are planning our own future as modern day artists can. Labels come in with some money to throw at us then yeah. But I want to keep these numbers anmd followers building at this rate. Thats all that really matters. It creates a stronghold on our future.

What is your thoughts on the new bands coming out of England such as Kid Ego and Towers of London?
Kid Ego - great bunch of fuckin lads, good tunes.
Towers - seem to be one of the few bands who are giving kids what they want.

Tracii Guns described the Rebels as ‘One of the only real rockbands left’, how does it feel to hear someone of Traciis calibre say something like that?
Never thought about it. Self indulgence is probably something ill do once ive got a future in the game.

You have recently toured with Gilby Clarke whom is currently on reality tv show ‘rockstar’ along with Tommy Lee and Jason Newsted, what are your thoughts on rockstars being on reality tv?
If it gets kids back into Real music its served a purpose. Personally would rather cut my cock off with a rusty knife than do it. But awareness of rock is good.

What are your thoughts on the other band members?
Which ones - Rebels - ah theyre all cunts.

The band have a fanatastic fan base which is largely due to the Rebels undying loyality to thier fans, the fans are name themselfs the ‘Rebels’ what are your thought on them all?
I fuckin love them more than drugs, seriously each and every fuckin one of them cats are fuckin cool. They understand what were doing and I understand them. Just wanna forget things sometimes and just throw yourself at someone talking your language. Cool lil fuckers.

Whats next for the Rebels?
Single release, photo shoots, annuals coming out of us as were fuckin good looking fuckers.

So what do you like to do with your days off?
Poetry.

Thanks very much for the interview Blacky, before we end is there anything else you want to say?
Yeah Tommy - I done this whole interview completely naked - well im wearing a hat and a necklace.
Goodbye my man.
see yer soon bud.

Well, I have two new discs out that I make lots of promotion for.
Randy Piper’s ANIMAL and the new ZAN CLAN live CD.

Do you mourn over the loss of 2 members, I mean the both Pontus’es just left you for another band!!
No. Since I gave them the boot I have no regrets, It was a move we had to take.
So to say that they left…that’s everything but true.

The first one i bought must have been Smurf hits hahahaha

And ofcourse I have to ask you, the first concert you were on, what band did you see?
First gig I saw was KISS 1983

I saw you guys on GlamFest this year, did you think that was a good party? Any good ”after gig” stories you want to tell us about?
It was a great night, a great audience and a great afterparty… One story is about a sertain guitarist in the main attraction who urinated in the cab back 2 his hotel

Any big updates from Zan Clan coming up?
