In honour of the legend that was Dimebag Darrel, a book entitled “He Came To Rock!” is being released to commemorate his hard-rockin’ life that inspired countless more musicians - as well as motivating the likes of you and me to stand up for real music, and take rubbish from no-one.
It is being published by Big Vin Records, a label in which his brother, Vinnie Paul Abbott heads who never really delved into the heavy metal business, but shows his support and remorse for his departed brother with this literary collection of the rocker behind the scenes - as well as photographs of Dimebag as well as his friends and the families own collections.
The book is available on www.bigvinrecords.com

Dont you just LOVE it when big things happen to small people!!?!! Well, the time has come once again. Jimmy Reay and Jamie DeBarge, were set a challenge by Kerrang in November 2008 to put on the greatest air-guitar performance, by the 20th centurys most dangerous band, Guns N Roses. (And just to prove we’re living in the 21’st century, it had to be uploaded onto youtube - I attempted to upload one myself, but sadly i have the technoligical skills of a drunken gorilla. Even attempting to access the internet for me brings on a mini-seizure.)
Anyway, It was to be performed to Axl’s new track ‘Chinese Democracy’, and anyone whom wished to enter had to present their “craziest, most inappropriate air guitar” performance.

These two lucky buggers, and their choice of 100 friends, will be picked up from the comfort of their own homes, and taken by limo to a venue of their choice to party hard and be the first people in the world to hear the longest awaited, most expensive album ever! Chinese Democracy ladies and gents, is HERE!

The video itself was shot in various locations across London. On a crowded underground tube, a rather famous station, and surprise surprise, China Town (Oh the originality.)
Yet despite all my envious, sarcastic remarks - the lads actually did a fabulous job! So i should really end on a congratulations……………. But being the typical jealous git that i most certainly am! This is not going to happen.

Heres the winning video! Enjoy!

That was a small press release I got from Total Assault (promotion company) and I must say that the song you can listen to is kinda sweet, take a listen to it if you haven’t. A band that you should consider if you want to hear something new
